You probably knew this already, but in the debate over whether to buy or not, the New York Times quotes experts who remind everyone that instead of obsessing about the rise and fall of home prices, buyers should be looking at interest rates and property taxes. “Predicting interest rates is a whole lot easier than predicting home prices,” says Glenn Kelman, chief executive of Redfin, a multistate discount online real estate brokerage company based in Seattle. “Before you buy the house, you buy the money,” he says."
