The Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers, which represents more than 450 police officers and fire fighters "came out in support of a federal idea to allow law enforcement officers to carry firearms aboard domestic flights," reports the Daily Breeze. "Barshall McClain, president of association, said the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association's proposal to the Obama administration is warranted because of the Christmas Day attempt to blow up an explosive device aboard a Northwest Airlines flight in Detroit."
