Well, the Associated Press wasn't right when they reported yesterday that the most expensive California home that sold in 2009 was that Bel Air blah-looking home. As commenters pointed out, that Beverly Park custom-designed chateau by architect Richard Landry, a spec house that came to market in August 2008, listed at $45 million, sold last July for $31.5 million. Unsure of the biggest sale in California, we can tell you this is definitely the biggest recorded sale in LA. Unless it's this $535 million sale on Hollywood Blvd. Uh, typo?
