Madness in Monterey Park: Atlantic Times Square Behemoth Nearly Done

New, 33 comments

Reader Brigham Yen passes on photos of the insanity that is Atlantic Times Square, that 600,000 square foot mixed-use project located in Monterey Park near the I-10. Rising on seven acres, the project, which broke ground in 2006 and was delayed in finishing, includes 210 condo units, a 14-screen theater, and 200,000 square feet of retail. The whole shebang will be finished around May 1st, according to Brian Dowling, project manager for the city of Monterey Park. The model units will available around March; the condo pricing is roughly $350-$400 a square foot, according to Dowling. Retailers include AMC Theaters, 24 Hour Fitness, while the project was developed by Arcadia-based Kam Sang. How this thing crossed the finish line in this market is sort of a head-scratcher, but we're not gonna ask too many questions.
