GARDENA: If you're hard up for development news, head to Gardena to meet 1600 at Artesia Square. The PR pitch on the project: "It is located near where the 91 freeway turns into Artesia Blvd. at the intersection of the 110 freeway, and will sit practically adjacent to a really cool and popular Japanese supermarket, Marukai." There are 97 units, all three-story townhomes. Construction hasn't even started on the project, but developer MBK Homes is already (boldly) starting pre-sales. There's a sales center on the project's site where would-be buyers can see floorplans and elevations. [Curbed InBox]
MANHATTAN BEACH: The Manhattan Beach Confidential blog has the latest on the construction slowdown, quoting a (local?) advertisement for a development that warns buyers to act now because: "Nearly zero brand new homes will be available for years to come as most developers are out of business." More cheery news via the blog. [MBC]
