The castle belonging to L. Milton Wolf's, a 1920s art director and Hollywoodland developer, went on the market in June 2008 with a hefty price tag of $7.5 million. Later that summer, the price was reduced to $5.99 million. It disappeared off the market before returning last November, with a new price: $4.695 million. Our wolf has undergone another shave. The eight-bedroom, six-bath estate near the Hollywood Reservoir (with bonus John Lautner-designed guest house) has fallen to $4.295 million.
