The timing is a little weird for yet another story about real estate agent Sharona Alperin, the inspiration for The Knack hit "My Sharona," (the band's lead singer Doug Fieger died on Sunday), but the Los Angeles Times rehashes Alperin's transition to high-end/celeb real estate. After breaking up with Fieger in her early 20s (she's now in her late 40s), the Sotheby agent continues to use her brush with fame as a marketing tool by including The Knack's tune on her website, MySharona.com: "in the world of luxury real estate, the cachet of having a hit song written for her has served as a unique marketing edge in a city filled with thousands of agents." But make no mistake, the little pretty one is good at her job, according to the paper. [LA Times]
