SANTA MONICA: Small budget? No fear of flashbacks of old timey Santa Monica criminals? Santa Monica is on it--the city is giving away doorknobs from its Historic City Jail (inside City Hall) as part of their Historic Jail Adaptive Reuse Project. The project includes rehabbing the jail and giving away salvageable stuff to the public. But beware!
