Treehouse Coming Down

New, 9 comments

Eastsider LA reports that the Recs & Park Dept. plans to dismantle an Elysian Park tree house, a structure likely built by a homeless person. The home sits eight-feet off the ground and even has a padlocked door. "The remote sections of Elysian Park, which sprawls across more than 500 acres, have long sheltered homeless encampments, from sheets of plastic and fabric to simple plywood and cardboard shacks."
