National Register Buff, Straub, and Hensman With Additions in Pasadena

New, 17 comments

More modern going today in and around Pas. Here we have a 1959 house by Buff, Straub, and Hensman, with additions by architect Stephen Hans Nuetzel. The listing says the original team gave the house "orientation to panoramic views" and a "dialogue with nature," but "Architect Stephen Nuetzel had to make this property home for his family." His solution was to add a studio "below the original residence." (We also suspect something has been done to the bathrooms and kitchen.) The house has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a covered patio, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Asking price is $1.25 million.
