Rolling Stone restaurant

HOLLYWOOD: We're strangely fascinated by the Rolling Stone restaurant opening at Hollywood & Highland very soon (will it be like the Fashion Cafe? Hard Rock?). Eater takes a look inside and it seems relatively tasteful, though we can't imagine the boys from Kings of Leon eating there. Food includes warm blue cheese popovers with caramelized shallot butter, and soft pretzel knots with beer cheese fondue. Holding judgment.
WEST HOLLYWOOD: For a few months, you'll have to get used to only seeing Courteney Cox on "Cougar Town"--her favorite Italian joint, Il Sole, is temporarily shutting down for an interior/exterior remodel. It'll be open in early 2011 and "that outdoor dining area -- open in the summer, screened in via plastic curtains in the winter--[will] become permanent indoor dining space."
BEVERLY HILLS: Anyone who's ever lived in LA for a while has been thankful for finding a Jacopo's menu at the bottom of their junk drawer. Sadly, the Italian institution closed up shop thanks to that damn recession.
BEVERLY HILLS: The cycle of life--Beverly Hills sees one go, but another one arrives with the opening of Red Medicine, a "non-traditional" Vietnamese resto opening tonight on Wilshire, near San Vicente. Lunch will be on the menu in a few weeks.
