PALOS VERDES ESTATES: The LA Conservancy is reminding Lloyd Wright-lovers that comments on the Moore House's recently-released environmental impact report must be submitted by Friday, December 10. The report found that no renovation could meet the needs of the owners (they want a backyard pool and higher ceilings), making teardown the only option. Information on submitting comments is here. SKID ROW: The Downtown Women's Center, which serves Skid Row's homeless women, will be unveiling a new home at a design showcase tomorrow evening and at a grand opening on Friday. Pica+Sullivan Architects led the renovation of a historic building on San Pedro Street, bringing it up to LEED Silver and decking it out with a rooftop garden, a library, a fitness room, therapeutic spa tubs, and a quiet lounge.
