The Associated Press looks at the tall building frenzy going on in China, and here are some of the numbers--China currently has six of the world's 15 tallest buildings, the U.S. has three; North America's share of the 100 tallest buildings was 80 percent in 1990, but will be 18 percent in 2012, China's take will be 34 percent in two years; China has four of the 10 tallest buildings under construction, America has one (1 World Trade Center in New York). The U.S. high-rise market is "pretty much dead," said a director from Gensler, which is designing the 121-story Shanghai Tower (pictured in foreground). [AP]
