Architect Steven Ehrlich isn't afraid to rip out a few original cabinets in a Rudolph Schindler house. The Architect's Newspaper has "after" photos of his renovation of a 1940 Schindler in Inglewood (there are two others on the same street) for which Ehrlich "derived inspiration from Schindler’s Kings Road house and tried to stay true to the modern master’s vision. Yet, he said, 'If Schindler were working today, he would take full advantage of current building technologies rather than freeze the home in time.'" [A/N, image via]
