Hartford, Connecticut has no rail, a historic but dead downtown, and a highway cutting right through it. Hartford native and grad student in USC's School of Policy, Planning, and Development Nat Gale thinks it could learn something from Los Angeles. He writes in the Hartford Courant this weekend that "While vastly different in size, both are culturally and ethnically rich. Both have a wide and varied building stock. Hartford could learn and benefit from a series of successful policies recently implemented in the City of Angels." [Hartford Courant]
