Melahat Uzumcu, a Palos Verdes Estates woman who already caused a ruckus for hosting weddings at her house, is now facing criminal misdemeanor charges of vandalism and illegal dumping after she cut down a "25-foot city-owned palm tree near to her coastal home cut down and tossed over the edge of a steep cliff onto the seaside rocks below," according to the Daily Breeze.""It's a huge tree,' [City planning director Allan Rigg] said. 'We were amazed. It is very dangerous and very irresponsible.'" [Breeze]
