SHERMAN OAKS: Last week saw the opening of Sweet Butter, a casual yet seemingly upscale restaurant/food shop helmed by a former food stylist and recipe writer. They serve Intelligentsia coffee, so no need for Valleyites to go over the hill anymore.
BEVERLY HILLS: This is a shame if true: La Cienega Greek eatery Xandros may be having money issues, possibly including the non-payment of staff. Theé mou!
WEST HOLLYWOOD: Talesai owner Kris Yenbamroong launches Night Market, right next to his Sunset Strip standby. This will be street food, just like you get in old Bangkok. Opening on Thursday.
DOWNTOWN: The restaurant roll-out on 7th Street continues. Ricardo Zarate, of the Peruvian Mo-Chica restaurant, is rumored to have rented some space at 7th and Grand. It'll be awhile until an opening, though.
