Robert Ainsworth-Designed Converted Firehouse in Sierra Madre

New, 9 comments

This converted fire station on the outskirts of the Angeles National Forest north of Sierra Madre was designed by noted architect Robert Ainsworth in 1960. Per its Craigslist posting, the 1,400-square-foot loft-style building was restored in 2007 with a new kitchen, appliances, heating, air conditioning, and bathroom installed, and features 11-foot-high ceilings, concrete floors, a rooftop deck with mountain views, roll-up doors, and three parking spaces. It's available for lease starting in February for $2,300 a month rent.
