A lot of people were left wondering why AEG's Tim Leieweke mentioned a three-month timeframe in regards to whether not AEG would go forward with a downtown NFL stadium. Did his comments have to do the city or the NFL? The city, according to a source at AEG familiar with Leiweke's plans. "We want to know that we can do this, that the city will be willing to negotiate a deal," says the source, pointing out the company wants to have a team playing in the stadium by the fall 2015 season. "In three months, we'll have a sense of where we are and we'll know if there are any roadblocks." Michael Roth, spokesperson for AEG, declined to comment and said Leiweke was busy volunteering today in East LA and wasn't available.
