The infamous 1990s-era LAPD Rampart Division is getting its own fictionalized recounting, starring Woody Harrelson as a veteran police officer drawn into the corruption and written by LA noir superstar James Ellroy. Filming is already underway in Boyle Heights, but a producer tells the LA Times "It was challenge for us to find a [financial] partner who was willing to support the idea of filming in Los Angeles."
