HNTB-designed new center
USC is two months from breaking ground on a new athletic center, Trojan athletic director Pat Haden announced this weekend. The $70 million, 110,000 square foot facility will expand the 40-year-old Heritage Hall, which houses USC's athletic department, and which has already been expanded three times. The architecture firm is HNTB, which also did USC's Galen Center. Ribbon-cutting is in January, with an opening a year and a half later. In addition to this project, there's the forthcoming USC master plan, the newish School of Cinematic Arts, and a new campus center. It's fast times at West Adams. But will the new building help a Trojan win a Heisman?
