The roof of Richard Neutra's Silver Lake VDL Research House has reflecting pools, a deck, and now a giant loom made out of its steels beams. That last one is a temporary installation by artist Santiago Borja called Fort da Sampler, and it comes complete with a giant, Mayan-inspired weaving on it. Meanwhile, that roof is no longer so leaky--roof and garden unit renovations were recently completed. [A/N Blog, image via]
