While the backers of that billboard tax in West Hollywood gathered enough signatures to get the tax up for a vote, the WeHo City Council, whose members have openly criticized the measure, will vote Monday tomorrow whether or not to include the act on the March 2011 ballot. The council's possible veto has incensed billboard king Mike McNeilly, who helped proposal the tax, and he has has been firing off angry press releases all weekend. We sense a lawsuit may be headed WeHo's way. Meanwhile, LA's proposed billboard tax died a quick death, and won't be up for a vote in March, according to MediaWeek. [MediaWeek]
