Instead of altering design plans for the Tom Bradley International renovation so that the roof won't block views for air traffic controllers, Los Angeles World Airports plans to install "radar, laser-guided aircraft docking technology and closed-circuit television cameras" to help keep track of hard-to-see planes. The National Air Traffic Controllers' association suggested a new control tower, but LAWA says that's just a ploy to create controller jobs and "yesterday's technology." [LAT]
