1920s Spanish Overlooking Silver Lake Reservoir

New, 23 comments

The listing for this four-bedroom in the Moreno Highlands claims it was designed by William Kesling, which is a little surprising given the home's architecture is Spanish-style rather than Streamline Moderne (though, yes, Kesling worked in other styles). Additionally, the date--1929--seems a tad early for him. While we get to the bottom of his exact role in this house, the 2,709-square-foot residence has plenty of selling points, including excellent Reservoir and mountain views, two fireplaces, hardwood floors, a very nicely redone kitchen ("by John Soffio of Built"), courtyard with fountain, and its proximity to--sing it with us now--Ivanhoe School. Asking price is $1.499 million. UPDATE: Listing agent Rosemary Low tells us that Kesling is listed as the architect and builder on the building permit.
