CENTURY CITY: Amid all the talk about where to put that subway stop in Century City, when is Westfield going to tackle its planned area expansion? Last year, the city approved a plan that will include tearing down a Welton Becket building at 1801 Avenue of the Stars for a 39-story residential/retail tower. We've heard recent chatter that Westfield will start work on the garage portion of the project next year, but Westfield Group spokeswoman Katy Dickey says there is "no published construction timeline...We are very eager to begin, but we are still in the planning process." And so 1801 Avenue of the Stars gets to live another year. [Curbed Staff]

CULVER CITY: More shuffling of architects, more members parting ways. Kevin Southerland, one of the principal architects at Assembledge+ has left the firm to start architecture350, a new company "dedicated to modern sustainable residences," according to an announcement. [Curbed InBox]
