DOWNTOWN: Remember 7th Street a few years ago? Empty storefront-ville. Well, it's a different story--another space gets filled today with the opening of SugarFISH, a purdy outpost of the sushi chain that's already in Marina del Rey and Brentwood.
BEVERLY HILLS: Blow a paycheck at Scarpetta, which just opened at the Montage on Canon. Eater says the rustic Italian restaurant is prettier than the her sister in New York, but not as nice as her Toronto sibling (probably more exciting patrons, though).
SANTA MONICA: La Monarcha, Wilshire's soon-to-be Mexican bakery, opens early next month and will offer deliciousness like Brioche con Dulce de Leche, Conchas de Vanilla y Chocolate, Galletitas de Boda, Telera, Tres Leches, Guava Cheese Tarts, and 20 different coffee beverages.
THE WORLD: Oscars, Tonys, Emmys, Grammy, Eaters. Eater launches the first annual Eater Awards, which will honor the best restaurants nationally and locally. Click here for more information and to nominate your favorites.
