Even as Legendary Investors Group tries to wrest control of Meruelo Maddux, the related entity Legendary Development (some people are involved in both groups) is learning that being a developer isn't so easy. After putting this 23-unit building on the market earlier this year, Legendary Development chopped prices in September. Apparently that didn't do much because once again prices have fallen at Legendary Place. For example, a 1,380 square foot two bedroom that was priced at $699,000 is now $589,000, while a $875,000 three-bedroom (1,750 square feet) is now $729,000. One unit is now in escrow, according to a sales rep.
