Is Charlie Chaplin the only person who can prevent the rise of Skynet? Here's a mystery for you to decipher: In this 1928 footage of the premiere of Chaplin's film The Circus, shot at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre, a woman (or a man in drag??) appears to be talking on an iPhone, and one Irish filmmaker is convinced (s)he's a time traveler. Some YouTube commenters think the device is just a hearing aid, and one asks "where would one get reception on a? cell phone in 1928..." but they're probably all just agents of the machines.
