As expected, the government has gifted the state with $902 million, mostly for work on the high-speed rail line, the LA Times reports. The largest chunk--$715 million--goes to design and construction of the Central Valley portion of the bullet train, while $16 million will go to high-speed connection between San Francisco with San Jose.
