About Pasadena's historic Hotel Constance... the city council approved the first phase of the Colorado at Lake project, which includes a renovation of the 1926 hotel with plans by the developer to reopen the hotel and possibly add five condos to it. The Pasadena Star-News reports that the $70-$80 million project will also rehab nearby storefronts, including historic facades, and add a three-story garage (phase II would bring a new six-story mixed-user to the area). Expect to see work soon because of a deadline set by the feds who contributed $11 million to the project. [PSN]
