Yesterday saw the ceremonial handing over of $546 million in federal funds to build the Crenshaw light-rail, which will connect to LAX via a people mover in about 2018. A pic on Streetsblog shows transit activist Damien Goodmon, who previously advocated loudly for the undergrounding of the Expo Line, in attendance. And no surprise here: Goodmon's got an opinion. He's calling for the line to be below-grade between 48th and 59th streets, and asking for a station in Leimert Park Village, where an optional stop is being considered. [Streetsblog, Curbed InBox]
