Following that enjoyable video of the Expo Line's planned route from Culver City to Santa Monica, a new Expo mini-movie has found its way to the internet. The new footage provides a tour of the mostly constructed first phase of the light-rail from downtown to Culver City, via USC and South LA. The video, produced by Gökhan Esirgen of The Transit Coalition, features old-timey photos of the Pacific Electric Santa Monica Air Line, the tram that Expo mostly replicates and was discontinued for passenger service in 1953 (it was used for freight until '87). The soundtrack to the tour is "Auld Lang Syne," so raise a glass of Ballatore and enjoy.
