More accusations of swindling for officials in the city of Bell, who are already accused of mismanaging $50 million in bond money and reaping outrageous salaries paid from improper taxes. The California controller's office says Bell leaders took $1.2 million earmarked for affordable housing and street repairs and put it in a "self-indulgent slush fund" for their own delights, reports the AP via The Washington Post.
