San Gabriel mayor and real estate developer Albert Y.M. Huang resigned today--four days after an evening of dumplings went way off the rails. Huang made the announcement at a press conference today, reports the Daily Breeze, adding that he'll also leave the city council. Huang says coverage of the incident--which involved Huang and a woman possibly hurling dumplings at each other before the two went for a ride on his SUV (the woman hung onto the vehicle as it went 45 mph)--caused damage to his family and he needs to devote his energies to clearing his name.
