The Santa Monica Daily Press published an editorial today commending the architecture firm James Corner Field Operations and their three options for the planned Town Square and Palisades Garden Walk parks in downtown Santa Monica. While the paper likes the firm's ideas for "fluid pathways and rolling hills that spill onto the beach below," they are worried the bumpy design may provide cover for homeless encampments and "dens of iniquity." The SMDP says planning is necessary to avoid the crack party that was Palisades Park in the '90s. [SMDP]
