Famished Kitty Heads West, Toluca Lake Options Increase, Wolfgang Out of Downtown, Michelin Blasts LA

Toluca Lake's future Olive and Thyme

TOLUCA LAKE: Studio workers in the east Valley have more options at lunchtime, or will, when Olive and Thyme opens up their cute little space in late November or early December.

SANTA MONICA: One of the city's most beloved seafood restaurants is expanding. Hungry Cat, with restos in Hollywood and Santa Barbara, is opening a spot near the PCH sometime around February.

DOWNTOWN: The Wolfgang Puck L.A. bistro, near the Library Bar and the Standard, is shuttering in December. That juicy location won't be fallow for long--a Pizzeria Urbano will take its place.

LOS ANGELES: You know those fancy Michelin restaurant guides? Well, apparently they stopped publishing an LA version and the Michelin head guy, Jean-Luc Naret, told Esquire it's because Angelenos "are not real foodies. They are not too interested in eating well but just in who goes to which restaurant and where they sit." Oh, those French.
