Kogi Finds a Permanent Home, Doughboys Returns, Rick Bayless Comes to LA

The latest dish from Eater LA, Curbed's hedonistic eating and drinking blog...

WEST LA: The food truck that started it all, Kogi, has leased space in West LA. The Korean-Mexican taco truck is taking over Asian Rice Grill space (pictured) on Overland for its first permanent location and claims they will not be redecorating.

BEVERLYGROVE: Doughboys is back, baby! The West 3rd street location has been shuttered since 2007 but soft opened this week (with free food). Oprah's favorite red velvet cupcake spot officially re-opens on Monday.

WEST HOLLYWOOD: Seriously, what took Rick Bayless so long to come to LA? The King of Mexican Cuisine will be helming the kitchen at Red Onion, taking over the old Chocolat space on Melrose. Once that opens in early March, work begins on the second Red Onion to open on the Santa Monica promenade, with Bayless running that kitchen as well.
