The long-gestating Movietown Plaza will aim for approval from West Hollywood's planning commission on Thursday, reports the WeHo News. If ultimately approved, the current strip mall and parking lot (currently anchored by a Trader Joe's) in this section of eastern WeHo would be replaced with four buildings (two at five-stories, two at 10) with 32,300 square-feet worth of street-level retail, 294 market-rate condos, and 76 affordable senior rental units. Fear not, Trader Joe's may be lured back. There should be more information about ground-breaking after Thursday's meeting—stay tuned. And check out images here. [WeHo News]
