Someone has plastered "illegal" signs on those Venice street ads, but even though there's a city emblem on the notices, the paper signs weren't put up by Building & Safety officials, according to LAist.com. Looks like someone is trying to send a message to City Hall. Paper signs are effective, but perhaps these activists should have used a "boot" on these mini-billboards. [LAist.com]
