The anti-pigeon poop crusade continues at the Santa Monica Pier. That giant diaper net is partially installed, and the city has also "put out spikes on selected roosting spots, installed sound devices that mimic the noises of predators and started putting out special 'contraceptive feed' that makes the birds infertile," according to the Santa Monica Daily Press. The city is trying to come back from poor water quality grades. [SMDP]
