Apparently someone thinks City Council President Eric Garcetti could be a soap star. ABC Daytime sent out a press release today announcing that both the city councilman and Mayor Villaraigosa will appear next month on All My Children, which now tapes in LA after spending its first 40 years in New York. Filming next week, the mayor "will play himself, crossing paths with Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) at Confusion, the local hotspot that’s owned in part by Erica Kane." (Control yourself, Mr. Mayor.) Meanwhile, Garcetti meets with an AMC character to discuss how to "make Chandler Enterprises (whatever that is) more environmentally friendly." UPDATE: Perhaps this is why they're on?
