Toyota's Prius Line to Spawn, Make Younger Priuses

New, 10 comments

Your Prius just isn't hip anymore, hipster. Yesterday at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit Toyota unveiled the newest version of its Prius car, a "hybrid concept car that is smaller than the Prius and geared toward younger buyers," according to the Associated Press. Called the FT-CH, this one is just a concept vehicle, so there's no production schedule, but Toyota is confirming that it plans to expand the Prius brand and launch a whole family of hybrids, according to the AP. The two-door FT-CH pictured above is 22 inches shorter than the original Prius, and "inspired by 8-bit video games popular during the 1980s, is intended to appeal to younger buyers." Via Wired
