Via the Los Angeles Business Journal: "Real estate developer Bob Bisno, who last year failed in an attempt to build a large redevelopment project in Baldwin Park, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection." Good lord, the man has ties to many, many controversial projects. Bisno was at point involved in the San Pedro Ponte's Vista project, and has ties to Lincoln Place in Venice and Chase Knolls in Sherman Oaks, site of a huge 2006 battle to add 141 units. It's unclear--at least to us--what's going on at Chase Knolls (pictured above) now, but that photo above makes everything seem pleasant at the site.
