Visual Acoustics, that documentary about architecture photographer Julius Shulman will soon be available to all who can afford a movie ticket (rather than simply arch-enthusiasts who attended June's Dwell on Design conference). The film opens Friday in New York and LA, while an article in the New York Times notes: "As the film makes clear, Mr. Shulman wasn’t simply an architectural photographer but a lifestyle propagandist." More tidbits about the late photographer via the Times: He lived in Raphael Soriano-designed-home and actress Kelly Lynch threw a 95th birthday party for Shulman (and a burlesque dancer was involved). “I’ve never seen someone enjoy a situation more,” she said.
