Of course those new city ordinances banning billboards were going to be challenged in court. And while Liberty Media was one of those companies fighting the ban, the Los Angeles Times reports that today "U.S. District Judge Audrey B. Collins said Liberty Media had failed to show a likelihood that it would prevail with its procedural arguments against the month-old ordinance." Liberty had been hoping an injunction against the city would stand and Building and Safety Department would be forced to issue 16 new signs, a move that could have opened the door for permits from other companies.
