The Architect's Newspaper interviews Cecilia Estolano, the CEO of the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles. She has a whole lot to say about the state's decision to skim money off of local CRA budgets, but also talks about what should go into a recovery: "infrastructure, business assistance, program EIR’s to make it easier to develop once money starts flowing, funding biomed and entertainment, establishing a clean tech corridor on the east side, and developing the Crenshaw corridor where it intersects with Gold Line. That includes infrastructure improvements, transit-oriented development, and affordable housing on Crenshaw Boulevard south of the 10 Freeway." [Architect's Newspaper, image via]
