Tough Days in Hollywood

"The Hollywood and Western Red Line station is the tip of an iceberg that can’t be neglected or ignored any longer." So says Stephen Box of SoapBoxLA , who accuses the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (which controls Metro), of not doing their job in regards to patrolling the station. A report of escalator break-downs and feces at the station follows. Plus: Homeless are apparently camping out right below City Council Eric Garcetti's headquarters. Referencing the destruction of the Bon Air motel, he writes that the city "completely missed the fact that when you destroy homeless camps, you don’t reduce homelessness." [Soapbox]
