The Pasadena Star-News reports that SB 545, the state bill that would prohibit a surface connection between the 710 and 210 freeways, passed the Assembly today and is now awaiting the governor's signature. If he signs it, that means a tunnel is the only option left for bridging the awkward gap between the two freeways. That plan already has Measure R funding allocated. [Pasadena Star-News]
