PriceChopper: 1930's Traditional In Valley Village

New, 26 comments

This house just confuses us. The listing notes it was "rebuilt with period details and finishes." We're seeing mostly Pottery Barn and Shabby Chic. And even with a price reduction, it's still almost double its sale price from five years ago. Yet it has its charms. The four-bedroom, three-bath features an open kitchen, walk-in pantry, office, a black-bottom pool and outdoor entertainment area. There's also a balcony off the master bedroom, dark wood floors, and the original fireplace. The house was last sold in July 2004 for $875,000 and went on the market in July of this year for $1.699 million. After a minor $10,000 drop, it was reduced once again. It's now listed at $1.499 million or $448 per square foot.
